West Lexham

The graveyard at West Lexham is a sort of managed wilderness and is doubtless a project undertaken by the small parish at West Lexham where the Church is the star. The graves are spread around the large area and are surrounded by grass and romanticism. I found this one of the nicest graveyards that I've visited. The age and tradition dimensions of the graveyard are a real winner. It's difficult to find a level surface or a right angle in the picture but, again, West Lexham has a wealth of charm

Saint John -Beachamwell

Saint John -Beechamwell

The village of Beachamwell is blessed by the presence of the two ruined Churches of All Saints and Saint John. Both Churches are in the process of being swallowed by the Earth that provided the materials for their construction. Saint John has a tower that speaks to the traveller across the fields even if the voice is now ever so quiet with the passing of time.

There is no obvious graveyard at this site with any memorials having disappeared years ago as is the way with such things
