This is a side chapel at the Church of Saint Mary in Burgh Next Aylsham. I include this photograph because it is in a small manner the sort of chapel used for years as a funerary chapel by the rich and famous. The small geographical space above ground would have been used year after year with burial underneath the small space. This is a survival of a chapel that would have been known in Christianity over the years.
The chapel in the photograph is not (as far as I know) a funerary chapel although it can stand in for all of the others for the time being
